Position Description:

BroadReach is currently seeking Senior Technical Experts interested in long or short term positions on an upcoming USAID-funded proposal bid in Tanzania.

Technical areas may include, but are not limited to:

• Community Mobilization and HIV Prevention

• Nutrition

• Facility , Home and Community-Based HIV/AIDS Care and Support

• Health Systems Strengthening

• Sub-Grants Administration

• Human Resources for Health

• Management, Leadership and Governance

• Laboratory and Pharmacy Systems

• Monitoring & Evaluation

• Health Information Systems

• Health Finance

• Cervical Cancer Screening

• Public Private Partnerships in Health

• Malaria

• Gender

Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight of leadership on technical areas related to providing comprehensive, integrated, and sustainable HIV/AIDS services

• Integrate technical activities into wider programmatic objectives of PEPFAR, the Global Health Initiative and the Government of Tanzania’s National Health Sector Strategic Plan

• Prepare and implement national, regional, district, and facility guidelines on Care and Treatment, PMTCT, TB/HIV, Community Mobilization and Health Systems Strengthening

• Develop innovative toolkits and operating procedures and implement methodologies

• Prepare written reports, strategy documents, presentations, models, analyses, and recommendations

• Liaise and manage relationships with clients/donors, government officials, stakeholders and public and private sector organizations

• Lead assessments, trainings, and workshops for in-country audiences

Basic Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Epidemiology, Gender, Pediatric Health, International Development or other relevant field; a medical or nursing degree is highly desired

• 8+ years experience working in global health

• Experience working on USAID, CDC, PEPFAR, and/or other donor-funded projects or programs

• Prior experience in Tanzania

• High degree of self-motivation and resourcefulness

• Strong content or technical knowledge

• History of successful leadership initiatives with demonstrated managerial skills

• Must demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills in English

• Consistent ability to meet deadlines and remain focused

• Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, Technical Director or Senior Technical Advisor

• Tanzanian National
