Pathfinder is seeking highly motivated and self driven staff to join a dynamic team to support integrated HIV/AIDS and RH/FP projects supported by CDC and private foundations based in Dar,
1. Budgeting and Forecasting Officer – Dar es Salaam.
Key Tasks:
- Ensure TCO has sufficient funds all the time.
- Review all payments before approvals and ensure there is budget allocated.
- Review budget allocation on every office retirement before posting to ACCPAC.
- Review Dar office funds request against allocated budget and advice accordingly for approvals.
- Review Arusha and Shinyanga office budgets and funds request and advise management on budget allocations.
- Ensure TCO comply with GAAP and USAID/CDC fund policy and procedure.
- Responsible for the preparation of the fiscal year office budget.
- Responsible for the preparation of project proposal budgets.
- Prepare monthly budget versus actual expense reports to ascertain financial position and advise Senior Management of unexpected trends or results
- Conduct forecast analysis of funding availability by project as needed
- Conduct monthly financial review meeting with Senior Management
- Assist Sub grantee with budgets preparation and control.
- Support Internal & External Audits processess.Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial performance reschedules
Qualifications and Experience:
- A candidate should possess a BA degree from a recognized university in Accounting, Finance or Management. Advanced degree preferred.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in budgeting and forecasting management for public health NGOs or related projects, two of them at a comparable level of responsibility.
- Ability to work well with people from diverse cultures and communicate effectively.
- Experience with U. S. government contracts and/or federal procurement regulations desirable.Liaise with department users on issues related to financial planning,controls
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
