Position Description:

Required qualification:

M.Ed with an exposure to IGCSE curriculum

Position Summary:

The Principal will lead a school that is committed to the ongoing development and wellbeingof its students, teachers and staff. The Principal will provide strategic and instructional leadership and will oversee management of the day to day operations of the school.

She/he will

•Ensure high standards of achievement for all students

•Ensure an orderly, motivational and aspirational culture and a strong school

•Manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school

•Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes (teaching, as duties allow) on a regular basis to encourage the useof a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning and child growth and development.

•Empower teaching staff through Professional Development trainings- on going

•Manage curriculum development, extracurricular activities, scheduling, student exchange programs, and teacher exchange programs.

•Ensure that the teachers use the ‘Child Centered Approach’ as opposed to Teacher Oriented Approach.

•Recommend tools and ideas for improvement of the Educational system within the school.

•Communicate regularly with parents, seeking their support and advice, so as to createa cooperative relationship to support the student in the school.

Complete in a timely fashion all records and reports as requested by the Board.

•Public Relations skills

•Problem solving skills

•Be able to work under pressure
